My Summer Vacation
I could go through and explain our two weeks in Utah/Idaho, but I am pretty sure I would overuse the terms "fun" and "great". So I'll give you a list of our favorite memories (it's long):
Ian's wet birthday party
McBrides' ward party food
Sunday family dinner
The blanket as the McBride side cousins' favorite toy
Pony ride and catching up with Wendels
Canyon dinner tradition with the McBrides
Ugly face contest and s'mores
Boating with Gma and Gpa Rich
Waterskiing and Big Bertha at beautiful Pineview Res.
Getting towed back to shore when the boat battery died
Seeing Capri in her mom's belly
Ashley and Adessa over to Uncle Ralph's
Great Grandma and Grandpa Rich
Tessa's overzealous need for chips
Homemade slip and slide at Gma LeJeune's
Contests on the slip and slide
Preston pizza parlour
Oversized volleyball and badminton tournaments with Uncle Jonnycakes
There was a lot of Rockband. (I wailed on the microphone for hours. :) Mandy-drums, Jon- guitar. Guest artists were in and out with the bass.)
Great Grandpa Jack met Tessa
Hiking ....the only downside would be the mosquitos who tried to eat my daughter's head off.
Throwing rocks into the stream from the mini island
Fireworks in Lewiston (they were over before I'd gotten settled, but it was still fun)
Dallen's baptism and confirmation (Jake was blessed to be a part of this)
Jake and his buddies' golf tourney in Logan. I'm sure they rocked it.
Too much pie. How I love it.
Great Gma and Gpa D (Gma D wailed on the Rockband microphone too)
Church, lunch, and haircuts with the sis
Gazing at stars
Blanket fun with the Rich side cousins this time, including Burrito Man wars
Trampoline and Bocci Ball
Cherry Hill --water slides!!!!
Uncle J getting Tessa to make elk noises?
Baby niece was born! Meeting little Gracey.
Great Grandpa McCune's 89th birthday party
Friends at Liberty Park. Oh, the laughing that takes place when I'm around these people.
Meeting another beautiful Grace
Kung Fu Panda and the best cookies ever
I could double this list so easily. We had THE BEST time on this trip. Tessa was happy beyond belief to be around all these people who love her. Thank you to all our parents, siblings, and friends. We are blessed to have you in our lives. We didn't get to see everyone we wanted to because of time, but we're comin' after ya next time.
Jake and I actually exercised (ran together) on this trip. Can you believe it? We weren't consistent with it every day, but we still did it. It's a good thing considering the ridiculous amount of sweets we were ingesting.
Now we're back to real life and trying to recuperate from all this fun we had.
