Woe is me.

Signs are pointing toward Cole having a milk allergy. The pediatrician said I need to go off dairy (not completely, thank heavens, just the obvious). No milk, no cheese, no yogurt, no ice cream.
It's a good thing that kid is so darn cute.
We'll check back in a couple of weeks and see if it does the trick.
One can survive on a diet of fruit snacks and Teddy Grahams, right?

Don't fret too much. Ellie couldn't handle dairy proteins the first few months. Oh how I CRAVED milk. My ped told me alot of newborns have a hard time digesting dairy at first, but grow out of it. She is fine now and I can drink as much as I want to.

bummer! Hopefully it will clear up soon. Unfortunately I am addicted to ice cream right now....not a good thing. Cole is a cutie, so it will definitely be worth it:) We miss you guys

No milk! No cheese! No yougurt! NO ICE CREAM!!! What else is there when you're talkin' dairy? Fortunately, those cute little ones make it worth it. That being said, my kids never had milk allergies so I never had to sacrifice like that. I would have done it but thank goodness I didn't have to.

Or hot dogs and Hawaiian Punch, as I learned from Andy during those formative years.

Fruit snacks and teddy grams is a totally acceptable diet.

No dairy? I gather from Emily's post that this may just be temporary, and not the whole course of the breastfeeding time. I hope so. No dairy? Hard to believe your boy could have a milk allergy. Cole appears to have thrived off of it while in the womb!

Bummer Maren, good luck. I hope little Cole gets feeling better soon. Have you ever tried soy milk? John would rather starve on a desert island than drink it,but I have never been a big fan of regular milk and I think the vanilla "Silk" soy milk doesn't taste too shabby. Thank goodness for those fruit snacks and teddy grahams at least :) Good luck!

All of my babies had milk allergies when I was nursing. Try rice milk and soy milk. They are actually pretty good in cereal. Also, all of mine out grew it around 6-7 months. Hang in there. H

Ah sad. The poor little guy, he has probably been miserable. And poor you! NO ICE CREAM! That stinks.... I love my ice cream. Well, we can't wait for you guys to come show off the little man! I want to see him in person. Post some more pics of the kiddos!

To see if your little one has outgrown the allergy just slowly re-introduce. Try a scoop of ice cream and then wait a few days and see if you notice anything. I feel for you...I never wanted ice cream so much until I couldn't have it! Ugh!

Dang it! I love dairy! I hope you do okay on your fruit snacks and teddy grams. You could substitute your dairy with slurpees. That's what I would do.

Gabe was to don't worry! Rice milk and Plain Silk soy are a wonderful sub. But hopefully he will kick out of it! We need to come visit soon. I am a sucker for new babies!
