Can you believe this?!

Fox goes for a jogger
The Associated Press

Prescott, Arizona --With a rabid fox locked onto her arm, an Arizona jogger ran a mile to her car and drove to a hospital.

Attack
The fox attacked the woman, whose identity was not released, while she was running Monday, biting her foot, then latching onto her arm. She ran to her car, pulled the fox off her arm, wrapped it in a sweat shirt and tossed it into the trunk.
Second Attack
When an animal control officer opened the trunk, the fox attacked him, too.
Shots
Both victims are receiving rabies vaccinations.

CAN YOU IMAGINE running a mile with a fox hanging onto your arm by its teeth?!?!?!?!

(This beats the raccoon who still escaped after being tasered by a Texas cop.)

What would YOU have done?

Oh, my MO is screaming, without a doubt! :) I once went horseback riding (ok, so I was 13), but I screamed the entire time and drove my cousin crazy (it was his horse) -- needless to say, we weren't ever invited to ride horses again. :)

OMGoodness! I don't know what the heck I would've done. Maybe poke the fox in the eyes, that's what they say when if you ever get bit by an alligator, to poke at their eyes and they'll let go fast. That is truly crazy!

Wow! its funny but then its not. There is no way I would run a mile with it hanging on there has to be something you could do to free its jaw off your arm. I would have found a tree and just body slam it and squish it to death, pull its tail out of its socket. Create lots of pain so it would let go, lol. Crazy! Cute Halloween pictures by the way. Love ya sis!

Huh, crazy. Think I would have called 911. But I probably would not have been running by myself in the first place. :(

I don't want to sound too much like a farmer, but I happen to know that a fox tail works really good at swinging them and hitting their head on something, and then they go to sleep. Liz wanted me to let you know that I typed this not her. My friend once tried to get his mom to make a beadspread out of fox fur, but she refused.

Hi Jake and Maren from your blog-stalking lazy cousin-in-law, Elise Hansen (married to Chris, son of Marilyn). I love your blog and I thought it was about time I stopped lurking and actually said hello. We are related, after all. Anyway, Marilyn mentioned that you guys are coming to Utah for the holidays and may have a chance to get together. We would LOVE that opportunity! Let us know-- my e-mail is elisehansen1 at hotmail.

By the way, this fox thing is freaky... I don't like running by loud dogs, let alone rabid foxes!

Yikes! Three days straight of spilled milk at dinner sure seems a lot less stressful after reading this story!
